The City of Grandview, is hosting a Public Open House to receive feedback regarding the 150 Highway Corridor Sustainable Development Plan.  This meeting will take place on Thursday, Nov. 3 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at The View Community Center, Hawthorne/Mahogany Room, 13500 Byars Rd.
The purpose of this Public Open House is to present -concepts and approaches the study team, led by Parsons Brinckerhoff, is considering for the a sustainable development strategy for the 150 corridor. Ultimately, this plan will establish design concept principals and guidelines for the corridor that will help improve the community character and be a blueprint for sustainable development.  The City of Grandview would like this plan to be a guiding document that represents the vision of its residents and stakeholders for the corridor’s economic success for years to come.
During the Public Open House, the City of Grandview and study team will conduct a brief presentation showing strategies and approaches the team is considering.  They will also display and discuss the draft framework plans.  They are interested to get public feedback regarding the draft plans.
The public can visit with the community planners and share their input during the public workshop and also through public comment forms available at the meeting or online at the City’s website.  Once this public input is collected, Parson Brinckerhoff and the City of Grandview will analyze this information.  They will then formulate a preferred alternative plan option which will be presented to the City for approval.
